Mary, Wayne, & Deanna Rotkowski

Sno-Storm Acres was established over thirty years ago by Mary & Wayne Rotkowski.  Mary fell in love with Alaskan Malamutes and began showing them in the mid 1970s.  Soon there after Akitas became a part of our family.  Showing and breeding quality dogs became a family sport as all three of Mary & Wayne’s children became involved.  

          After over twenty years in the Malamutes and Akitas we decided to become involved with Shiba Inus.  We still produce an occasional litter of Malamutes but Shibas have become our passion.

In the early 1990’s we received our first Shiba, CH. Sensei Sno-Storm Just A Dream, ROM HOF-X. To date we have owned and/or bred over fourty Shiba AKC champions, as well as Canadian and UKC champions.  We have bred and/or owned multiple Register of Merit dogs (including Hall of Fame producing dogs), as well as multiple Award of Merit winners.  We have owned and/or bred some of the top winning dogs in both the US and Canada! We are also currently showing one of the top winning Shibas of all time, BISS/Multiple American, Canadian, & UKC Group Winning AM/CAN/UKC CH. Fanfair Sno-Storm Ringside Rebel, ROM AOM.

Mary & Wayne are also currently members of the National Shiba Club of America and are LIFETIME MEMBERS of the Alaskan Malamute Club of America.

Breeding healthy Shibas that conform to both the AKC and NIPPO standards has become our passion.  We strive to produce physically healthy dogs with a wonderful temperament.  Each of our adults have their hips cleared thru OFA, their eyes CERF’D, and their knees declared normal BEFORE they are bred.  All of our puppies are whelped in our house and handled daily.  Our puppies do not leave until they are at least eight weeks of age. At that time they will completely vet checked and have their first set of inoculations.  Occasionally we also place adult dogs; they will also be vet checked and up to date on all of their inoculations.  All of our pet puppies and adults are sold with a contract and must be spayed or neutered.

We are very serious about placing the right dog with the right family and will not place a dog unless we feel it is a perfect match.  We stand behind our dogs and if at any time the new owner has questions and/or problems we will do our best to help solve them.  We want all of dogs and their new families to be happy, and will do our best to make sure that happens!
